Hello! I am Michele Brown, a painter, muralist, and flamenco lover, plus a wife and mom, known for my variety of designs, distinctive style and community work.
La Mano Art is my small company name that’s been in operation for over ten years. I am based in Denver, Colorado and studied art and illustration at the Pratt Institute in New York City. The mission for La Mano Art is to create beautiful work that others will enjoy. The work I do includes calligraphy, paintings, murals, live art and illustrations. Words to describe some of my work may include nostalgic, impressionist, realism, richness-of-detail, whimsical, colorful, elegant and fun. I am an enthusiastic person with purposeful determination to achieve a sound finish.
I am a mother and have a background in education. This has helped drive part of the focus of my business into arts education and art involving community, engaging people to come together and beautify an area. A recent example would be the Evans Bridge Paint-By-Number Mural. I designed this mural for community members of the Overland Park Neighborhood to paint a mural expanding 3,500 sq ft. The mural represents the whimsical and colorful characteristics of the neighborhood with a layout straightforward enough to allow the public to complete.
Please feel free to contact me with your next idea so we can get started!
